Abstract
Aim To design and synthesize a series of new ethyl 6-bromo-5-hydroxy-1H-indole-3-carboxylate derivatives, and to evaluate their antiviral activities in vitro. Methods Eleven new compounds were synthesized and their structures were confirmed by()~1H-NMR and MS.Their in vitro anti-influenza A3 virus and anti-RSV activities were tested. Results and conclusion The target compounds all exhibited antiviral activities.Among them, the antiviral activity of compound Ⅹ_9 was comparable to that of admantadine.
New ethyl 6-bromo-5-hydroxy-1H-indole-3-carboxylate derivatives show antiviral activities, with compound X_9 showing comparable activity to admantadine.
