Abstract
Ethyl 2-(3-chloro-2-yl)-5-hydroxy-pyrazole-3-carboxylate is an important intermediate for the synthesis of pesticides chlorantraniliprole. This work described an expedient route and technology for the pyrazole synthesis using 2,3-dichloropyridine as starting material, via hydrazinolysis and cyclization with optimized total yield of 43.1%, and the hydrazinolysis process is simple with solvent-free.
