2-(4-((4-chlorophenyl)(phenyl)methyl)piperazin-1-yl)ethanol was prepared from 1-(bromophenylmethyl)-4-chlorobenzene and 2-hydroxyethylpiperazine.Technological parameters including raw material ratio,reaction time,and temperature and so on,were optimized.1-(bromophenylmethyl)-4-chlorobenzene reacted with 2-hydroxyethylpiperazine in mole ratio of 1∶1.10 under 115 ℃ for 4 h to give the product in 88.5 %.The structure of the title compound was confirmed.
