Tris-(tert-butoxycarbonylmethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane(DO3A-tert-butylester) was synthesized by the reaction of 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane(Cyclen) with tert-butyl-2-bromoacetate via the one-pot process.The factors affecting the reaction were investigated and optimum synthesis conditions were suggested.
