Abstract
Methyl 2,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)-5-phenyl-7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hepta-2,5- diene-6-carboxylate bis(N-methylcarbamate) along with the p-chlorophenyl and p-nitrophenyl analogues were synthesized using a Diels Alder reaction. The title compound and the p-chlorophenyl analogue were inactive against murine P388 lymphocytic leukemia.
