Abstract
1. The telomerization of ethylene with 2-methyl-1,3-dioxolane proceeds with the formation of 2-methyl-2-alkyldioxolanes and alkyl acetates. 2. The partial chain transfer constants (Cn) were measured at 90 and 150‡. The Cn values are practically independent of the reaction temperature and the chain length of the growing radical.
