Abstract
The reaction of 5-[2-(methylthio)ethyl]-3-phenyl-2-thioxoimidazolidin-4-one (LH) with salts MCl2· xH2O (M = Co, Ni, Cu; x = 2, 6) afforded the [M(L)Cl]n complexes of NiII, CoII, and CuII. The electrochemical behavior of the LH ligand and its complexes was studied using the cyclic voltammetry and rotating disk electrode techniques. The structures of the synthesized compounds were determined by the data of UV—Vis and IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and electrochemical characteristics.
