Abstract
There is a vast amount of research over decades that demonstrates the importance of early childhood reading on development of both receptive and expressive language skills in children. The evidence supporting early literacy and its impact of school readiness and educational success sparked the development of an exceptional program: Reach Out and Read (ROAR).
