Abstract
Hydroxyproline is the sensitive biochemical marker reacting collagen fibres changes. Using KM mice as animal model, the effects of different energy's pulsed dye laser to hydroxyproline in the skin of mice were studied. Twenty KM mice were randomly divided into two groups, one laser irradiation group, and one control group. Three different energy levels were applied for five times at a interval of three days, with 10% overlap. All experimental data were analyzed using SPSS11.5 statistical software. The hydroxyproline in the skin irradiated by 8 J/cm~2,10 J/cm~2 and 12 J/cm~2 showed 39%、50% and 58%(p0.05)increase respectively compared to the control group, among which 12 J/cm~2 energy had the greatest effect. No statistical significance was found between them. 595 nm pulsed dye laser can increase obviously the quantity of its hydroxyproline and can be used as a safe and effective method for noninvasive wrinkle reduction.
