Ocean Wave Measurement and Analysis
Abstract
The Coastal Engineering Data Retrieval System (CEDRS) is a menu driven microcomputer resident database which provides both hindcast and measured wind and wave data for use in the field of coastal engineering. The general goal is to assemble, archive and make available via CEDRS, regional databases for individual coastal districts of the US Army Corps of Engineers. CEDRS is designed for he microcomputer environment with databases stored on an auxiliary disk. Hindcast data included in CEDRS were developed by the Wave Information Studies (WIS) work unit, USAE Water-ways Experiment Station, Coastal Engineering Research Center (CERC). The databases also contain measured data from the CERC Field Wave Gage Program, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and visual data from the Littoral Environment Observation System (LEO).
