Abstract
Pancuronium bromide as a sole muscle relaxant in 100 children aged 1 to 10 years, undergoing various types of elective surgery, provided a rapid onset of action, easy reversibility with neostigmine, and had no significant side effects. Duration of muscle relaxation was not predictable at the dosages used. Use of a nerve stimulator is recommended for judging response.
