Abstract
Despite the widespread use of Cogentin in the treatment of Parkinsonism remarkably few clinical trials evaluating its efficacy in the non-chemical forms of the disease have been reported since its introduction by Doshay, Constable & Fromer in 1952. Cogentin is a synthetic compound formed by combining the tropine and benzhydryl portions of the Atropine and Benadryl molecules respectively. It possesses therefore, both anticholinergic and antihistaminic properties and has the following chemical formula :
