Abstract
Chlorotrifluoroethylene polymers were fractionated with the use of a fractionation apparatus designed for use at high temperatures. The solvent and the nonsolvent were the same as those used by Kaufman and Solomon. The relationship of specific viscosity and concentration was established in trifluoropentachloropropane by Schulz's formula. The differential distribution curves of Kel-F and Daiflon-B have maxima at lower viscosities and decrease more slowly than those of Daiflon-A. This accords qualitatively with melt index data.
