Abstract
Abstract The heat capacity of the cubic form of potassium hexafluoroantimonate(V) has been measured from 21 to 284 K. There are no indications of any transition or thermal anomaly in this temperature range. Unlike some hexafluorophosphates and hexahalostannates, the heat capacity of potassium hexafluoroantimonate(V) does not seem to depend on the thermal history of the sample. The value obtained for the standard molar entropy of this salt at 298.15 K is (243.8 ± 0.5) J · K −1 · mol −1 .
