Abstract
They have biological effects innumerous mammalian cell systems, which have led tointerest in their possible role in human health and disease.Methoxyflavones, also found in natural sources, haverecently been shown to be cancerchemopreventive agents. The methylation of flavone results in the enhanced meta-bolic stability and membrane permeability in the intestine/liver due to increased hydrophobicity, thus improving oralbioavailability.
