Abstract
This paper studies the interaction of neutrons with the nuclei of Ru-101 and Ru-102. The authors used two specimens highly enriched in Ru-101 and Ru-102, and the time-of-flight method on an SM-2 neutron spectrometer having a rotor-interrupter with a rectangular slot measuring 10/sup -6/m/sup 2/ in cross section. The value of the force function was determined for Ru-101 based on the resonance parameters in the energy range up to 660 eV. The average distance between the levels and the average normalized neutron width were also found, and are presented.
