Abstract
Silicate fireproof coatings for tunnels(FCT) have many eminent properties. But lowadhesion strength and poor water/fire-resistance of this kind of materials largelyli mit its applications. Here fireproof coating for tunnels was modified by adding re-dispersible powders(2wt %).The ideal bonding systemconsisting of cement and redispersible powders could increase the adhe-sive strength with other base material and i mprove properties of water-resistance,fire-resistant ti me,weather-resisting of FCT.The polymer-modified FCT was a new kind of mono-integradient composite with easily application, and was greatly reduced thecost for transportation, storage and package. Results showthat whenthe thickness of the dry fil mis 10 mm,the fire-resistant ti meof the coating couldlast over two hours according to GA98-1995(Currency techno-termfire resistive coating for prestressed con-crete floor) and GB/T7798-88(Fire-resistance tests-elements of building construction).
The polymer-modified fireproof coating for tunnels improves adhesion strength, water resistance, fire resistance, and weather resistance, making it a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for tunnel construction.
