Abstract
SummaryIn the nature (forest) and in open air cultures Scabby sowbugs are not a pest. In plant cultures under glass they can cause damages of economic importance, as H.Pape refers on rose cultures in greenhouses. The higher, more uniform warmth and humidity of greenhouses favour the development and increase of Scabby sowbugs. These factors further the intensity of feeding and the damaging effect, so that a control of these sowbugs becomes necessary.
Scabby sowbugs are not a pest in nature, but in greenhouses they can cause significant damage to rose cultures, necessitating control.
