Abstract
Using anhydrous cerous chloride, obtained by thermal decomposition of hexachloroceric acid crystals, complexes with the hydrochlorides of pyridine, piperidine, β-picoline and isoquinoline have been isolated and characterised. These complexes are formed with alcohol of solvation which can be removed by evacuation at 64 °C. without decomposition. The mole ratio of cerous chloride to the hydrochloride is 1:1 in all the complexes. Molverhaltnis CeCl3:RCl = 1:1.
