Abstract
Summary Chlorprothixene treatment in the rat prolonged bleeding time, inhibited collagen-induced aggregation of blood platelets and in the presence of potassium oxonate caused an elevation in serum urate levels. A red discharge which appeared around the eyes fluoresced under exposure to U.V. light and possessed an absorption spectra characteristic of porphyrins.
