Protection of Poliovirus-infected Tissue-culture Cells using the I-Benzyl, I-Pentyl and I-Isopropyl Derivatives of 2-(α-Hydroxybenzyl)-benzimidazole
The D-isomer of HBB provides greater protection against types 1, 2 and 3 polio virus than the DL-isomer, with 1-pentyl, 1-isopropyl, and 1-benzyl derivatives showing similar effects.

Organic Fluorine Compounds. Part 43. Applications of (1,1,2‐Trifluoro‐2‐Chloroethyl)‐Diethylamine as Fluorinating Agent
The fluorinating agent (1,1,2-trifluoro-2-chloroethyl)-diethylamine can replace hydroxyl groups in organic compounds with other functional groups, such as carbonyl, ester, and amino-groups, with excellent results.
