Abstract
1-Bromo-4-( 2,2-diphenylvinyl) benzene( 1) was synthesized by Wittig- Horner reaction of benzophenone with( 4-bromobenzyl) phosphonic acid dimethyl ester( 2),which was prepared by nucleophilic reaction of 1-bromo-4-bromomethyl-benzene with trimethyl phosphite. The structure was characterized by1 H NMR,13 C NMR,IR,EI-MS and XRD. The steric configuration of 1( CCDC:1 056 026) is beneficial to hinder the tight intermolecular packing. Photoluminescence properties in solution and solid state of 1 were investigate by FL. λemof 1 was 350 nm( λex= 307 nm) with fluorescence intensity of 7 377 in toluene solvent and λemwas 442( λex= 372 nm) with fluorescence intensity of 3. 0 × 105 in solid-state. The fluorescence intensity of 1 in solid state is 40. 7 times as high as that in solution state. So 1 exhibited AIE peculiarity.
1-Bromo-4-(2,2-diphenylvinyl) benzene exhibits AIE peculiarity with a fluorescence intensity 40.7% higher in solid state compared to solution state.
