Abstract
N-(2-Pyridyl) derivatives of glycine (1), DL-alanine (2), DL-valine (3), and DL-norleucine (4) were synthesized as fluorescence labeled amino acids. These amino acids were used for the synthesis of N-terminal fluorescencelabeled peptides. N-(2-Pyridyl)-1,2-ethanediamine (7) was synthesized and used for the C-terminal labeling of amino acids and peptides. With these amino acid derivatives, some peptides labeled with 2-aminopyridine were synthesized and their spectroscopic characteristics were examined.
