Abstract
Abstract Electrochemical polymerization of aniline on tantalum, stainless steel and glassy carbon has been studied in sulfuric acid electrolytes. It has been shown that introduction of hexachloroiridic acid causes an essential decrease in the induction period and potential of the polyaniline synthesis. Polymer-coated electrodes stable and electroactive in concentrated sulfuric acid have been obtained. The voltammetric characteristics of the film synthesized in the presence of H 2 IrCl 6 have been found to have rather narrow anodic peaks and well-pronounced asymmetry.
