Abstract

The preparation of a number of derivatives of 2H-4,6-dimethyl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydroisothiazolo [5,4-b] pyridine (1) containing 4-methyl(phenyl, heteroaryl)-1-piperazinylalkyl moiety by two routes has been described. Preliminary results of pharmacological screening of compounds synthesized showed antipsychotic activity of 2H-2-13-(4-phenyl-1-piperazinyl)propyl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydroisothiazolo [5.4-b] pyridine (4f).
