Abstract
Triphenylantimony chloro(2-oxybenzaldoximate) (I), which can be phenylized by pentaphenylantimony to tetraphenylantimony 2-oxybenzaldoximate and tetraphenylantimony chloride, has been synthesized by the reaction between triphenylantimony bis(2-oxybenzaldoximate) and triphenylantimony dichloride (toluene, 1 h, 100°C). According to X-ray diffraction data, the antimony atom in complex I has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination to the chlorine and oxygen atoms in axial positions (OSbCl, 179.84(8)°; CSbC, 115.05(13)°, 122.06(12)°, and 122.84(13)°; Sb-C, 2.106(3), 2.111(3), and 2.117(3) Å; Sb-Cl, 2.5012(18) Å; Sb-O, 2.076(2) Å).
