Consensus raises $30M to build the AI OS for Researchers

There are many labs promising a fully autonomous scientist. Maybe one day, but the world can't wait. Our problems are too urgent, and the last mile of science is still human. Real researchers need leverage now.

We're building for a world with more researchers, not fewer. One where the brightest minds have tools that give them superpowers, freeing them to spend their time on inquiry, collaboration, and discovery instead of the manual, tedious work around it.

Consensus is not a promise of research automation tomorrow. We are accelerating it today. Our literature review tool serves over 2.5M monthly active users, from students to scientists, across every major research institution in the world, who rely on us as the starting point of their research process.

But search is just the starting point. Beyond it lie more tasks like synthesizing, organizing, writing, and peer reviewing. Nearly all of it can be radically accelerated with AI.

That's why we're thrilled to announce a new $30M round of funding to move beyond search and build the AI operating system for research. We'll use it to reach the next 10M researchers and build a suite of tools that lets them focus on the work only they can do.

The round is led by GreatPoint Ventures and their partner, DJ Patil, who is joining our board. As the former U.S. Chief Data Scientist, DJ knows firsthand the power of making science more accessible. He helped open up the country's publicly funded data to the world. We couldn't ask for a better partner for this next chapter.
