Announcing our Partnership with Taylor & Francis

Our Partnership
We're thrilled to announce a partnership with Taylor & Francis, one of the world's most prolific and longstanding academic publishers, with a catalog spanning more than two centuries of scholarship across the humanities, social sciences, and STEM.
Through this partnership, Taylor & Francis is enabling Consensus to access the full-text content of its paywalled journals to power our search. This integration will allow Consensus to deliver dramatically more precise, contextually-aware search results drawn from the depth of T&F's authoritative peer-reviewed literature. For users, this means surfacing the right paper at the right moment, across an unusually broad range of disciplines.
Our ambition at Consensus is to be the go-to destination to discover, understand, and act upon research. But our features are only as strong as the content that powers them. Partnering with Taylor & Francis is a major step toward that ambition.

Why This Partnership?
Academic discovery has been built on a simple bargain: publishers invest in peer review and curation, and in return, researchers find, read, and cite their work. General-purpose AI threatens to break that bargain by absorbing scholarly content and returning answers without sending anyone back to the source.
Consensus is built on the opposite premise. Unlike general-purpose AI tools that train on publishers' content, Consensus drives discovery of it. Full-text access sharpens our product, but the search itself is designed to send researchers into the literature, not around it. Our click-through rates to original articles are among the highest in the category, and every query is an opportunity to connect a scholar with primary work they'd otherwise never encounter.
As proof of this, the early results already show click through rates to T&F’s content increasing by over 2x in Consensus through our partnership.
That dynamic is especially powerful with a catalog like Taylor & Francis's. The breadth of their list — across humanities, social sciences, and STEM, accumulated over more than two centuries — means that better search doesn't just return more results; it surfaces work from adjacent fields and older issues that might otherwise stay buried. A sociologist working on urban policy lands on a relevant T&F engineering paper. A clinician encounters a humanities perspective on patient care. This is the kind of cross-disciplinary discovery that's nearly impossible at scale without indexing the full text, and it's where T&F's depth becomes a genuine competitive advantage for the researchers who use Consensus.
Researchers gain faster, more accurate discovery across one of the largest bodies of peer-reviewed work in the world. Taylor & Francis reaches a next-generation audience of engaged scholars who are eager to go deeper into original research.
Why This Partnership Matters
This partnership empowers users to engage with scientific content more deeply and efficiently. Whether it's a graduate student exploring a new field, an interdisciplinary researcher tracing connections across domains, or a practitioner looking for the latest evidence, they can now find the most relevant T&F research more reliably than ever before.
Consensus isn't replacing traditional literature research; it's augmenting it. Better search means a better launchpad into the literature itself, every result remains traceable back to its source, fostering trust, transparency, and critical engagement with the underlying work.
This partnership is just the beginning. As usage and impact grow, our shared goal is to bring the best of academic scholarship to the fingertips of anyone seeking rigorous, trustworthy knowledge in an AI-first world.
