Abstract
Reactions of Triphenyl (trichloromethyl) phosphonium Chloride with Tertiary Phosphanes Triphenyl(trichloromethyl) phosphonium chloride (1) reacts with chlorodiphenyl- methyldiphenyl-, and phenyldipropylphosphane to give the differently substituted salts 3,12, and 15, containing a PCP skeleton. The first step of the reaction is the dechlorination of 1 by phosphane. Thus dichlorophosphorane and the ylide 7 are formed at first, while the subsequent reactions vary remarkably depending on the substituents at phosphorus.
