Abstract
3,4-Diphenylpyrrole-2,5-dicarboxylic acid crystallizes as the acetic acid disolvate, C 18 H 13 NO 4 .2CH 3 CO 2 H, and exhibits extensive hydrogen bonding involving the carboxylic acid functional groups, the amine group and the acetic acid moieties. The phenyl rings were found to lie at an angle of nearly 50° with respect to the planar pyrrole ring.
