Abstract
Abstract Flash vacuum pyrolysis and matrix-isolation studies of 6-bromo-6-(trimethylstannyl)bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane ( 1 ) gave evidence for the formation of 1,2-c.yclohexadiene ( 2 ) from this precursor. At high temperatures (600°C) 2 is not stable and fragmentates to 1-butene-3-yne ( 4 ) and ethylene.
