Abstract
The Methyl cis-9-hexadecenoate was investigated for its biological activity against Tetranychus cinnabarinus.Slide-dip and Leaf-residue methods were used to measure biological activity.Several enzymes in T.cinnabarinus treated with Methyl cis-9-hexadecenoate were tested. The results indicated that the bioactivities(touch kill, oviposit inhibition, repellency)of Methyl cis-9-hexadecenoate were high. The adjusted mortalities of female mite and egg were 79.82% and 76.34%.The oviposit inhibition rate and repellency rate were 79.45% and 95.85%,respectively at the concentration of 5 mg/mL.LC50 were 1.853 4 mg/mL and 2.213 6 mg/mL.Methyl cis-9-hexadecenoate had strongly acaricidal activities against T.cinnabarinus.The activities of glutathione-S-transferase in T.cinnabarinus were strongly induced, but the activities of acetylcholinease, monoamine oxidase,Na+,K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase were restrained which may lead to the transmit block of nerve in mites. The result from the experiment also indicated that the Methyl cis-9-hexadecenoate had a prospect to be a new resource of botanical acaricide.
