Abstract
Some thirty compounds were prepared wherein β-chloropropionyl chloride was substituted with various amines in the beta position as well as in the acyl portion of the molecule. The amines used as substituents were benzylamine, cyclohexylamine, morpholine, piperidine, dietbylamine, di-n-propylamine, di-n-butylamine, di-n-amyl-amine, and di-n-heptylamine. The substituents for the acyl chloride were aniline, p-nitroaniline, benzylamine, cyclohexylamine, morpholine, and piperidine. Many of these were prepared as the free bases as well as the hydrochloride salts. The compounds prepared have not yet been screened for pharmacological activity.
