Abstract
Investigations carried out in the pharmacology laboratory of the All-Union ScientificResearch Institute for Pharmaceutical Chemistry (ASIPC) have shown that the hydrochloride of quinuclidinyl-3-diphenyl-carbinol (I, phencarol) possesses strong antihistamine activity [i]. Clinical investigations have confirmed the high activity of (I) in the treatment of various allergic illnesses [2, 3]. The preparation is authorized by the Ministry of Public Health of the USSR for use in medical practice.
