Abstract
In the present study thermodynamic characteristics of the processes of 3-amino-5-sulfosalicylic acid complexing with rare-earth elements were determined. The pH titration method for (LnCl3 + 2H3L)(aq) (Ln = La to Lu) with the ratio n(LnCl3)/n(H3L) = 0.5 selected on the basis of the results presented in reference 1 in the temperature range 298.15 K to 328.15 K was used. It has been stated that the stability of LnL0 and LnLOH− complexes decreases with temperature increase up to 318.15 K.
