Abstract
Abstract The experimental isobaric vapour-liquid equilibria (VLE) in the five binary systems formed by 1-octyne with 1-octene, and by 1-octyne and 3-octyne with butyl acetate and acetonitrile, were measured at pressures of 200, 400, 600 and 760 Torr. Data on the binary enthalpies of mixing (H E ) were obtained at 298.15 K for the whole composition range of the six systems containing 1-octyne with 1-octene, 2-octyne and butyl acetate, 1-nonyne with 1-nonene, and 2-octyne with 1-octene and ethylbenzene. In addition, the equimolar H E values of some binary systems were measured. The experimental results were examined on the basis of the unifac group contribution model. The new unifac parameters determined for terminal and internal triple-bond groups separately were used for calculation of VLE and H E data.
