Abstract
Pseudolaric acid A(C_(22)H_(28)O_6) isolated from the bark of Pseudolarix kaempferi Gorden. shows antifungal activity. The crystal of pseudolaric acid A belongs to tetragonal system, space group P422. There are eight molecules in an unit cell with parameters α=8.956A, b=8.956A, c=51.834A. The three-dimensional intensity data were collected by PW-1100 four-circle diffractometer and the number of the independent diffractions amounted to 2449. The structure was determined by direct method. Only the igotropic temperature factors and coordinate parameters of atoms were refined by full matrix least-squares method. The final R is 0.13.Pseudolaric acid A has a quite complicated alicyclic structure with two conjugated double bonds on its side chain. The molecules in the unit cell are connected by van der Waals force.
