Abstract
The thermal decomposition of the oxalates of scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, cerium(III), praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europiuma, gadolinium, holmaiuma, and erbium was studied on the thermobalance. The hydrate water began to come off in tbe temperature range of 40 deg to 60 deg C. In certain cases, intermaediate weight levels wcre found for the 6- and 2-hydrates. The anhydrous oxalatcs appear to be very unstable; no weight levels were found with this composition. The oxide levels were obtained in the temperature range of 360 deg to 800 deg C. (auth)
