Abstract
A high performance liquid chromatography method is devised for detecting 2-chloro-6-methylaniline.Chromatographic separation is performed on the shim-pack Vp-ODS C18 column(150mm×4.6mm) at 25℃,with an eluant of methanol: water=80:20(volume)flowing at a rate of 1.5mL/min.The eluate is monitored by the UV detector,the detecting wavelength being 238nm.The linear range of 2-chloro-6-methylaniline is 0.461~2.304mg/mL(r=0.9996).The relative standard tolerance of results detected by this method is 0.22%(n=6) and the average recovery is 99.49%.It is shown that,by using this method,of the crude product synthesized in the lab,the net content of 2-chloro-6-methylaniline detected reaches 49.05%.
