Abstract
Objective:To establish a new method for determination of 2-chloromethyl-oxirane in workplace air by gas chromatography.Methods:2-chloromethyl-oxirane in air was collected by activated carbon tube desorpted with carbon disulfide,then separated on a HP-INNOWax column with hydrogen flame ionization detector.Results:The detection limit was 0.35 μg/ml,when the trapping volume was 3.0 litters the lowest detecting concentration was 0.12 mg/m3,the linear range was 1.6~80 μg/ml,relative standard deviation was 0.13%~0.38%,r=0.9999.The average trapping efficiency was 94.8%,the average desorption efficiency was 92.0%.Conclution:The method is simple,sensitive,accurate and suitable for determination of 2-chloromethyl-oxirane in workplace air.
