Abstract
Objective:To establish the determination method of related substances in cefonicid sodium by HPLC.Methods:The separation was performed on C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm) with 0.01 mol/L potassium dihydrogen phosphate(adjusted to pH 3.5 with glacial acetic acid)-acetonitrile(79:21) as mobile phase and the detection wavelength was at 254 nm.Results:The resolution between cefonicid and the related substances was ideal.The correction factors and the limits of detection of 1-sulfo-methyl-5-mercapto-tetrazole disodium and 7-amino-cephalosporanic were 0.882 9,0.759 4 and 0.02,0.04 ng respectively.The quantitation limits and the limits of detection of cefonicid sodium and formylated cefonicid sodium were 0.08,0.62 ng and 0.03,0.21 ng respectively.Conclusion:This simple and accurate method can be used to determine the related substances in cefonicid sodium.
