Abstract
A gas chromatography-mass spectrometric method was developed for the simultaneous determination of fourteen kinds of phthalates,e.g.dimethyl phthalate(DMP),diethy phthalate(DEP),diisobutyl phthalate(DIBP),di-n-butyl phthalate(DBP),bis(2-methoxyethyl) phthalate(DMEP),bis(4-methyl-2-pentyl)phthalate(BMPP),bis(2-ethoxyethy)phthalate(DEEP),dipentyl phthalate(DAP),di-n-hexyl phthalate(DHP),butyl benzyl phthalate(BBP),bis(2-n-butoxyethyl)phthalate(DBEP),dicyclohexyl phthalate(DCHP),bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(DEHP)and di-n-octyl phthalate(DNOP) and five kinds of adipates,e.g.diethyl adipate(DEA),diisobutyl adipate(DIBA),dibutyl adipate(DBA),bis(2-ethylhexyl)adipate(DEHA)and bis[2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethyl] adipate(BBOEA) in food packaging materials.Samples were extracted with dichloromethane for 20 min on an ultrasonic generator.The analytes were quantitatively analyzed with external standard method under selected ion monitoring(SIM) mode.The experimental conditions were studied.Under the optimal conditions,the calibration curves of all the target compounds were linear in the range of 10-250 mg/L.The average recoveries were in the range of 85%-108% with relative standard deviations of 0.16%-2.7%.The method was simple,rapid,sensitive,accurate,and was suitable for the determination of fourteen kinds of phthalates and five kinds of adipates in food packaging materials.
