Abstract
Field study, on the evaluation of sulfosulfuron for weeds in wheat under varied irrigation frequencies, conducted in 1996–97 and 1997–98, revealed that irrigation frequency (2 to 6) did not affect neither the density nor the dry weight of different weed species except Rumax maritimus L. whose dry weight was increased significantly with six irrigations as compared to two irrigations applied to wheat crop. Application of sulfosulfuron significantly controlled all the weed species and reduced their dry weight over weedy check. The maximum response was recorded at lowest level i. e. 20g/ha−1
