Abstract
C.I.Disperse Red 73 and C.I.Disperse Blue 56 were selected to investigate microcapsule disperse dyeing thermodynamics based on presence and absence of auxiliary solubilization.Parameters of thermodynamics, such as partition coefficient(K),standard affinity(-Δμ°),enthalpy change(ΔH°) and entropy change(ΔS°) were studied to find out the effects of microencapsulation on dyeing thermodynamics of disperse dyes. The results showed that the partition mechanisms of disperse dyes in the fibers and the solution were not changed significantly after the microencapsulation. While K and-Δμ° of disperse dyes with auxiliary solubilization and microencapsulated disperse dyes without auxiliary solubilization were increased with the increasing of dyeing temperature. The absolute values of ΔH°and ΔS°of disperse dyes with auxiliary solubilization were higher than those of microencapsulated disperse dyes without auxiliary solubilization.
