Abstract
In 1950 Killz and Schneider’ reported upon a new group of drugs. One of these, phenyl-2butyl-norsuprifen hydrochloride (nylidrin is used in clinical practice as a peripheral vasodilator. This compound has not been extensively studied in the intact animal, and, in particular, there has been little information concerning its effects upon the coronary vascular bed and myocardial metabolism. Such a study was, therefore, done in dogs, and this paper reports the results thereof.
