Abstract
Acetylstrophanthidin perfused directly into the sinus node artery of the dog decreases the response of the sinus node to adrenergic stimulation. When sinus arrest followed per-fusion of high concentrations of glycosides, either sympathetic stimulation or intranodal epinephrine transiently restored sinus rhythm.
