Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Montelukast Sodium in adjunctive therapy of childhood bronchial asthma. Methods 80 cases of childhood bronchial asthma patients were randomly divided into experimental group(45 cases) and control group(35 cases). The control group was treated normally, while Montelukast Sodium was added in the experimental group.Afterwards, the conditions of bronchial asthma, the statistics of medicines taken in acute stage, lung function of two groups were compared. Results After 12 weeks' treatment, the clinical effective rate of the experimental group was as high as 95.55%,which was better than 80% of the control group, the difference was significant(P< 0.05).The same occurred in the aspects of the reducing amount of the inhalation of Surface cortical hormone and drug use in acute stage(P< 0.05).In addition, the difference of the amount of the eosinophilia and estimation of lung function between experimental group and control group was significant(P< 0.01).Conclusions Montelukast Sodium is applicable as important adjunctive therapy of childhood bronchial asthma in GINA,which is worthy to be promoted.
