Abstract
Etozolin is a diuretic and antihypertensive drug, recently proposed for the treatment of arterial hypertension. The molecule is a racemic mixture of two enantiomers: 1-etozolin acts as loop diuretic, whereas the d(+) enantiomer has no natriuretic activity, but seems to provide vascular relaxation [1,2].
