Abstract
Abstract Bismuth hydroxide chromate (Bi(OH)CrO4) is a narrow bandgap energy semiconductor material that should be of great importance to many applications. Herein, we report a facile, room temperature one-pot method to synthesize Bi(OH)CrO4. The as-prepared nanoparticles were characterized by SEM, XRD, XPS, DRS and Raman spectroscopy. The results revealed the successful synthesis of monoclinic Bi(OH)CrO4 nanoparticles that are arranged in an unprecedented unique microsphere morphology without the aid of any templates or capping agents.
