Abstract
[Demean and aldoxycarb were applied to mature lemon trees by drip irrigation. Chemical analyses of leaf tissue of three different ages show that both materials were rapidly trans located into the leaves. Aldoxycarb residues initially were much higher than demean residues. Analyses for 120 d post treatment showed that demean residues were more persistent in the leaf tissues than aldoxycarb residues. Leaves from neither treatment caused any appreciable mortality to two phytophagous species, citrus drips ( Scirtothrips cirri (Mouton)), and citrus red mite ( Panonychus cirri Gregor), nor to the arenaceous mite, Eugenius tularemia Condone, over the course of the study.
